Former Players Criticize CSKA for Matches Against Levski

Former Levski and CSKA players Ventsislav Hristov and Aleksandar Branekov were recent guests on the studio show "Derby," where they discussed current topics in Bulgarian football and shared their expectations for the upcoming final of the Bulgarian Cup tournament. Both Hristov and Branekov believe that CSKA is the favorite in this match but should not underestimate the lineup of Lokomotiv PD.

However, Hristov and Branekov are critical of CSKA's approach to the last two matches against the champion Levski. According to them, it is not right to save players for such games and rely on a single decisive match for the entire season. This year, Hristov helped Rilski Sportist return to professional football, but he is unlikely to continue his career at this level. Branekov, who has been a coach for young players for a decade, again expressed his views on the development of youth football, noting that the connection with the sport is lost at a very early age. Talent exists in Bulgaria, but the work with these talents is far from international standards.
