All eyes are on Vienna tonight as the grand final of Eurovision Song Contest 2026 takes place, featuring Greece and Cyprus in one of the most competitive contests in recent years. Greece’s Akylas and Cyprus’ Antigoni Buxton are set to perform with their respective songs, "Ferto" and "Jalla."
Akylas will represent Greece with the song "Ferto" and is set to perform sixth in the running order during tonight’s final. Antigoni Buxton will represent Cyprus with "Jalla," performing in 21st position. Following Friday’s jury rehearsals, where performances were evaluated by national juries accounting for 50 percent of the final score, the Greek delegation appeared optimistic about Akylas’ chances after a strong semi-final showing earlier this week.
Greece’s Eurovision entry has generated significant traction online since the first semi-final, recording 1.8 million YouTube views, 4.7 million TikTok views, and more than 6.5 million total views across Eurovision’s official social media platforms. Akylas has emerged as one of the favourites heading into the final, with "Ferto" receiving strong reactions from fans and bookmakers alike.
This year’s Eurovision also introduces major televoting changes, allowing viewers to vote from the beginning of the competition segment rather than waiting until all performances are completed. Fans can vote by telephone, via SMS, or through the official Eurovision platform esc.vote. Each viewer can cast up to 10 votes, although they are not permitted to vote for their own country.
The Eurovision 2026 grand final begins at 22:00 local time and will be broadcast live on ERT1 with commentary by Maria Kozakou and Giorgos Kapoutzidis.
