On May 7th (Thursday), the two teams competing for the final of this year’s second-tier European club competition, the Europa League, will be determined. The semifinal second legs are set to start at 10:00 PM Bulgarian time, and they are expected to be decisive due to the narrow differences in the first legs a week ago.

The current campaign will crown a new champion, as last year's winner, Tottenham, is participating in the Champions League this season. However, there will certainly be an English representative in the trophy battle, as one of the semifinals is between two teams from the UK: Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest. Nottingham Forest took the first leg with a narrow 1-0 victory, and now the Birmingham team is ready to host the return leg at "Villa Park."

In the other match, Braga has a slight advantage with a 2-1 lead over Freiburg. The return leg will take place on German soil, and the boys from the Baden-Württemberg province will aim to turn the tables in their favor. If the Portuguese team manages to overcome their opponent and reach the final, it would be a significant achievement, as they started the competition from the qualifying rounds and eliminated the Bulgarian champion Levski in one of those rounds.

The final of the tournament will be held on May 20th (Wednesday) in Istanbul.
