Nedjelja was an emotional day for two legends of Spanish football. Robert Lewandowski (37) said goodbye to Barcelona, while Antoine Griezmann (35) left Atletico Madrid. Griezmann will join Orlando City, while Lewandowski's future remains uncertain, with Italy being a potential destination.

Forward Robert Lewandowski announced the end of his Barcelona career on Saturday after four years with the club. He joined Barcelona in 2022 from Bayer Munich for €45 million. "After four years and many challenges, it’s time to move on. I leave with the feeling that the mission was accomplished; we won three league titles in four years. I will never forget the love and support that the fans gave me. Catalonia is my home."

Lewandowski has also played for Znicz Pruszkow, Legia Warsaw, Lech Poznan, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayern Munich. He has scored 89 goals in 165 appearances for Poland, setting records in both goals and appearances. His future is uncertain, but his agent, Pini Zahavi, has reportedly offered him to AC Milan.

Antoine Griezmann played for Atletico Madrid from 2014 to 2019 and then again from 2023 to 2026. He made exactly 500 appearances for the Madrid club, scoring 212 goals and providing 100 assists. He won the UEFA Europa League in 2018 and the UEFA Super Cup in 2019. He also won the Spanish Super Cup in 2015. In his career, he has also played for Real Sociedad and Barcelona, and for France, where he won the World Cup in 2018 and the Nations League in 2021.

"I know many of you have already heard this, but I want to apologize again. I didn’t realize how much love I had here. I was very young, I made a mistake (referring to his move to Barcelona), I reconsidered, and we did everything we could to come back here and enjoy everything again."
