Although heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua have become training partners, promoter Eddie Hearn has not ruled out the possibility of the two fighters having a third bout. Usyk holds two victories over Joshua and is set to face kickboxer Rico Verhoeven in a bill promoted by Hearn in Egypt on Saturday. Joshua is scheduled to return to the ring in July against Kristian Prenga, with a planned all-English heavyweight fight against Tyson Fury later this year. While Fury has expressed interest in a third fight with Usyk, who has also defeated him twice, Hearn said that the ultimate goal for Joshua remains reclaiming the world heavyweight championship. “His endgame is to win the world heavyweight championship again,” Hearn stated, adding that Joshua has a couple of other goals in mind.
