Bosnia and Herzegovina is slowly entering a new phase of euphoria as the World Cup approaches in less than a month. Less than two months have passed since the historic victory in Zenica, and Edin Džeko has once again reflected on all that has happened.

Recall, shortly after that great success, Džeko shared his impressions with Telegraf. Now, on a media day in Germany, Jutarnji from Croatia took the opportunity to ask the regional legend a few questions.

- Bosnia and Herzegovina has had a large number of supporters from Croatia. I have felt at home in Croatia for almost 20 years. I often visit Dubrovnik, which is like my second home. I know many people who have supported us with all their hearts, and even after the match against Italy, they called me Livaković, Perišić, Pongračić, Modrić. They were in America for friendly matches at the time; they called me immediately after the game to congratulate me. This is a path for our region, where we need to support each other and cheer for one another. This makes me, above all, very happy as a person. If we, as professional footballers, can somehow influence people across the region and move in the right direction, we are on the right path. - Džeko responded to a question from Jutarnji.hr.

He also revealed that there had been talks with Hajduk.

- There have been talks recently with Hajduk, but I don't think it was very realistic. A few years ago, I had a contract with Fenerbahçe, and I spoke several times with Gatuz and Nikol Kalinić. I often talk with Ivan Rakitić, so I know what is happening in Croatia, especially with Hajduk. It is clear that Hajduk's wait for a title has been too long. I hope they can get back on the right track and bring a smile back to their supporters' faces.
