Duplantis Wins Diamond League Competition in Shanghai
Armand Duplantis triumphed in the pole vault at the first Diamond League competition of the season, which was held in Shanghai and Qingdao, China. The second round will be held in Xiamen, China. I'm glad I set a meet record, which was my primary goal," he said.
The 300-meter hurdles for men were fiercely contested, with Brazilian Alison dos Santos winning in 33.01 seconds, narrowly beating Norwegian Karsten Warholm. Another Brazilian, Mateus Lima, secured third place with a time of 33.75 seconds.
In the women's 200-meter sprint, Jamaican sprinter Shericka Jackson won with a time of 22.07 seconds, narrowly defeating Shone Miller-Uibo from the Bahamas, who finished with a time of 22.26 seconds. American Anavia Battle secured third place with a time of 22.40 seconds.
