Dimitar Pandeliev Aims for Balkaniada Success in Volos
Bulgarian athlete Dimitar Pandeliev is setting his sights on a strong performance at the Balkaniada in Volos this June. The 19-year-old from Varna had an impressive showing at the National Championships in February, where he triumphed in the 400m and 800m events as well as the 4x400m relay.
“This year, my focus is on the Balkaniada in Volos, as well as the National Championships for men and women. My goal is to stay healthy and aim for the European Under-23 Championships this year,” Pandeliev told BFLA channels.
He recently participated in a training camp in Gabrovo this spring: “I need to work on my speed, as it's currently lacking. However, we have two months to prepare, so I believe we will manage.”
Pandeliev also shared his proudest achievements: “Most notably, my Balkan title in the under-20 category, and my ranking at the European Championships, as very few athletes have achieved this in the 800m event.”
