The Detroit Pistons have secured their place in the Eastern Conference finals after a convincing 115-94 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 6 of the conference semifinals. This victory not only clinches the series for Detroit but also sets a new record for the largest road win in Game 6 when trailing 3-2 in an NBA series, a mark that has stood for 66 years.

Under the leadership of Cade Cunningham, who scored 21 points and hit five three-pointers, the Pistons dominated the second half, silencing the home crowd in Cleveland. The team’s resilience was on full display as they overcame a 3-1 deficit in the first round against Orlando and now find themselves on the brink of another historic achievement.

Detroit's defense and physical play were too much for Cleveland to handle. Cunningham led the Pistons with 21 points, while Jaeden House and Deni Avdija added 15 points each. Poole Rid also contributed 17 points, and the Pistons bench outscored Cleveland’s 48-19.

Cade Cunningham expressed his excitement about returning home for the final series: "It's going to be a wild ride at home, and we can’t wait to get back in front of our fans."

Cleveland had no answer for Detroit's aggressive style of play. The Pistons controlled the paint, capitalized on every mistake by the Cavaliers, and thoroughly outplayed Cleveland in the second half. The Cleveland Cavaliers' James Harden scored 23 points, but it was not enough to secure a win for his team.

Coach Dwane Casey was thrilled with how his team responded under pressure. "We did what we had to do. When we play with toughness and aggression, we are a dangerous team," he said.
