Daniela Vultev Open to Running for President
Bulgarian academic and former Vice Premier Daniel Vultev has expressed openness to the idea of running for president, though he believes there are other strong candidates who may secure the nomination. Vultev, currently the dean of the Faculty of Law at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski," made the comments in an interview with Bulgarian National Radio (BNR).
“I am open to considering a potential candidacy for president, but I think there will be good candidates and it probably won't be necessary,” Vultev stated. “However, for me, this topic is not closed.”
Vultev’s political career includes a term as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education from 2005 to 2009. His academic and political experience positions him as a notable figure in Bulgarian politics, making his potential candidacy for the presidency a topic of interest for many.
While Vultev remains open to the idea, his comments also reflect a cautious approach. Given the strength of potential presidential candidates, Vultev sees a competitive field that could deter him from pursuing the candidacy. Nonetheless, his willingness to entertain the idea of running keeps him in the conversation as a possible contender in future presidential elections.
