Following CS Dinamo's relegation to Liga 3 after a playoff match against Șelimbăr, coach Ionel Dănciulescu has directed his frustrations towards the referees, claiming they were responsible for his team's downfall.

The team from Sibiu won at home with a score of 2-0, but Dănciulescu is convinced that the outcome could have been different if the home team had not been awarded a penalty in the second half.

Match Details and Controversy

The decisive moment of the game, which took place on Saturday at 11:00, occurred in the 72nd minute when the hosts were awarded a penalty kick. This was contested by the visitors, who subsequently lost 1-3 in the relegation playoff.

Involved in the CS Dinamo project since the third division, Dănciulescu cannot understand the decision made by referee Viorel Flurean and reveals what the observer Marian Salomir told him at the end of the match.

"My heart hurts, please believe me. I am very disappointed, even though I met a more experienced team in this league. Salomir told me there was no penalty at the moment they scored 1-0. Leca had his hand glued to the body. In such an important match, the refereeing must be impartial, and this didn't happen with Șelimbăr," Dănciulescu told ProSport.

"If the penalty wasn't given, we might have gone into extra time and even penalty shootout, we don't know how the game could have unfolded," he added, the former Superliga striker who worked for a long time with Florin Bratu on the CS Dinamo project.

Financial Challenges Ahead

Despite the sporting relegation, CS Dinamo hopes to continue in Liga 2 in the next season, similar to what happened with Dumbrăvița. Multiple teams may face financial issues, making it uncertain whether they can compete in Liga 2.

"We don't know what will happen with CS Dinamo, we are waiting to see what will happen with the team. We hope to remain in Liga 2, we deserve it," the former forward from 'Ștefan cel Mare' is convinced.
