Croatian MMA fighter Sara Luzar Smajić (31 years old, 7-3 record) claimed the inaugural KSW bantamweight title after a fierce bout against Polish fighter Wiktorija Czyżewska (7-2 record) at KSW 118 in Kalisz, Poland. Luzar Smajić, known for her superior leg techniques and tactical responses, emerged victorious with a unanimous decision after five rounds (25 minutes).
Luzar Smajić will also continue to build her career in the FNC (Federation of National Championships), the largest regional MMA organization. She is not the only Croatian fighter to compete in the event.
Former UFC fighter Ivana Petrović (31 years old, 8-4 record) also returned to the win column with an impressive performance. At the Oktagon 88 event in Hannover, Germany, Petrović secured a technical knockout over 49-year-old Swiss fighter Danielle Misteli (5-5 record) in the first round.
In her last fight, Luzar Smajić defeated Petrović under a split decision in an FNC event. Following the controversial decision, Petrović, who is from Mostar, terminated her contract with FNC.
Sara Luzar Smajić's victory in KSW is a huge win for Croatian MMA! But what's next for Ivana Petrović after leaving FNC? This rivalry is heating up and fans can't wait to see what happens next.
