Former Inter Milan player Ivan Cordoba has praised Cristi Chivu's coaching performance and highlighted the differences between Chivu and Jose Mourinho. Cordoba, one of the most decorated former players of the "nerazzurris," is delighted with Chivu's success as a coach. Chivu, now 45, guided Inter to a historic season in his first full campaign as a senior coach. Cordoba, who played alongside Chivu and under Mourinho, emphasized that the two coaches are fundamentally different and should not be compared.

Cordoba, 49, made over 450 appearances for Inter and recently attended the Arena Civica, where he reconnected with many former teammates, including Chivu, Esteban Cambiasso, and Javier Zanetti. Cordoba, who played under Mourinho, noted the stark differences between the two managers. He described Chivu as someone who brings simplicity to the game and avoids conflict, whereas Mourinho is known for his communication tactics and willingness to take on challenges.

"At the beginning of the season, there were many doubts from outsiders, but these did not affect the team. I saw everyone very confident. It’s great to see this Inter celebrating. There are victories and moments that last forever. You work hard for a whole year and look forward to this," Cordoba told Gazzetta dello Sport.

Cordoba expressed his admiration for Chivu's ability to impose his style on Inter, even in the face of initial skepticism. He emphasized Chivu's talent for making football accessible and understandable to everyone. "Chivu and I have fought many battles together. It’s wonderful to see him achieving such success," Cordoba added.

Cordoba and Chivu were part of the legendary 2010 Inter team that won Serie A, the Coppa Italia, and the Champions League under Mourinho.
