Opposition groups and movements from 14 cities in western and central Serbia have agreed to join a student protest in Belgrade on May 23. The meeting of these groups was held in Kraljevo, organized by the "Local Front" and "Kraljevo Settlers."
Participants included the "Čačak Front" and "Pavle Jelesijević - Čačak Train" from Čačak, the "Kragujevac Initiative" and the "Movement I Love My Village" from Kragujevac, "One Team" from Lučani, the "Movement for Fair Kruševac" from Kruševac, "Vrnjačka Revolt" from Vrnjačka Banja, "Užička Action" from Užice, the "People's Movement" from Raška, and "Uzinat" from Gornji Milanovac.
Also joining the protest will be groups from Kosjerić, Ljig, Valjevo, Požeg, and Arilje, who were reportedly unable to attend the meeting in Kraljevo.
The groups agreed to continue their collaboration after the Belgrade protest, with a focus on fostering unity among opposition movements across western and central Serbia.
This is a powerful show of unity! It's about time these groups came together. Will this protest lead to real political change, or will it just be another voice lost in the noise?
