Ciprian Deac, the 40-year-old right midfielder, has announced his retirement from football in an emotional message to the fans of CFR Cluj. The veteran of the club has decided to hang up his boots at the end of the season. Deac shared his feelings on the club's social media platforms, urging supporters to attend his final match against FC Argeș.

“Dear, beloved fans! It's time to say stop to my journey as a footballer and to say that my last match in this jersey will be against FC Argeș. Since I was young, I dreamed of retiring with a full stadium and making it a special moment. I look forward to seeing you all at the stadium for my last match as a player of this team, the last time I will wear this wonderful jersey that has brought me so much joy. I would like you to come in large numbers to say goodbye to me and also to thank you for all the support you've given me throughout my professional career. I hope you come in great numbers! I embrace you and look forward to seeing you at my last match.”

CFR Cluj is inviting supporters to the last round of the playoff match, scheduled for Friday, May 22, at 8:30 PM, to celebrate "the most beloved decar in the history of the team." The club highlighted Deac's over 500 matches, thousands of hours of work, and a life dedicated to the sport he loved passionately.
