Bulgaria has formed its first national flag football team and will participate in the Copenhagen Bowl tournament on May 23-24 in Denmark. A week earlier, the representative team will hold a camp in Burgas.
"The composition of Team Bulgaria for Copenhagen Bowl is finalized!" the Bulgarian Federation of American Football (BFAF) announced on Facebook.
"The first tournament in the history of our national flag football team will take place on May 23-24 in Denmark, where Bulgaria will be represented by 12 selected athletes. A week before the tournament, the national team will convene for a camp in an expanded composition in Burgas, where the final phase of preparation will take place. Let's wish success to the team and support them in this historic moment!" the statement continued.
The selected athletes by the coach Martin Deutsch and his assistant Stoyan Dimitrov are Apostol Kerankov (Burgas Wolves), Viktor Naidenov (Hidden Lemons), Dimitar Dimitrov (Varna Sharks), Zhivko Andonov (Varna Sharks), Kaloyan Kostadinov (Hidden Lemons), Kristian Fotev (Burgas Wolves), Nikola Stefanov (Varna Sharks), Stefan Ivanov (Burgas Wolves), Stefan Kalinkov (Varna Sharks), Stoycho Mitev (Shumen Brewers), Kristian Hristov (Burgas Wolves), and Yassen Stoykov (Sofia Nights).
