The proud citizens have gathered in large numbers to give their star a memorable welcome and to thank her for her historic Eurovision win. Several hundred people have gathered at the airport with banners reading "Welcome Dara" and "We Love You."

A video posted on the Bulgarian media's Instagram page shows the crowd cheering, jumping, and celebrating with the song "Bangaranga."

As she stepped up to the podium, applause and cheers erupted, and she proudly held her trophy and danced with joy. The atmosphere at the press conference reached a fever pitch as confetti was released and everyone began dancing and applauding.

Meet Dara, Bulgaria's Eurovision 2026 Winner

The young star, born in Varna in 1998, gained significant attention as a 17-year-old when she won third place in the Bulgarian "X Factor" in 2015. Her career was launched into orbit immediately after the competition, signing with the powerful record label Virginia Records and releasing her debut single "K'vo ne chu," which dominated Bulgarian top lists for weeks.

Despite having only two albums ("Rodena takava" and "Adhdara") to her name, Dara has amassed an incredible 80 million views. She is also a vocal coach on the show "Glas Bugarske" and has led contestants to the throne twice in four seasons.
