Bayern Munich, the new old champions of Germany, concluded their Bundesliga season in triumph with a 5-1 victory over Cologne in the final 34th round of the league. Leading the charge once again was Harry Kane, who netted his fourth hat-trick of the season (10', 13', 69') and finished the campaign with an impressive 36 goals in the German elite. Tom Bišćan and Nicolas Jackson also scored for Bayern (22', 84'). Saidy Janko managed to score a consolation goal for Cologne in the 18th minute, but the visitors could not muster any further resistance. Thus, Bayern deservedly lifted the "Silver Salad Plate" after the match, and Kane was awarded the top scorer title. Michael Olise was chosen as the player of the season in the Bundesliga. The convincing victory in the final round also set a new record for Bayern, as they became the second team in history to score the most goals (122) in a single season of a top 5 European league, trailing only the legendary Barcelona team.
