Bavaria's basketball team, coached by former Serbian selector Svetislav Pešić, began their Bundesliga season with a convincing 101-80 win over Trier at home.

The match was almost perfect for Bavaria, who controlled the proceedings throughout most of the game except for the first quarter.

Trier had a six-point lead after the first quarter but Bavaria managed to even the score by halftime, leading by four points. From then on, the game was completely in the hands of the home team.

In the second half, Bavaria scored a remarkable 53 points, a pace Trier could not keep up with, as they managed only 36 points. This was not bad, but certainly not enough for a team at the Euroleague level.

Endi Obst excelled with 24 points, while Aizeja Maike added 16 points, and Oskar da Silva contributed 13. Serbian player Vladimir Lučić scored 10 points, grabbed four rebounds, and made two assists. For Trier, Urald King scored 18 points, and Steven Ashworth added 17.

Bavaria will play the second game of the series at home, and the series is played to three wins. They currently lead 1-0.
