Arsenal secured their first Premier League title in 22 years on Tuesday night, following Man City's 1-1 draw with Bournemouth. The London club had held the top spot for most of the season but lost their significant lead in April.

"Yes, we won the title. But I'm most proud of how we won it. We showed values that are important not just in sport but in life. Resilience, perseverance, and humility in moments when people doubt you. I questioned whether I was good enough to lead these players to win a trophy. You can't prove it to yourself until you do it," said Arteta at a press conference, as reported by Sky Sports.

In their final matches, Arsenal managed to stay at the top of the table. "There's a big lesson here: Stay humble, curious, and focused on your goals. If you give your best, you stand a good chance. We've put ourselves in a good position over the last three years. This season we did it. And now we want more," Arteta emphasized.

Champions League Final Ahead

Arsenal will face defending champions Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final in Budapest on May 30.

"In a few days, we have the biggest match in Budapest. We're rewarded, we know we've come step by step. When we didn't reach the goal because sometimes someone else is better... But you must say: 'I won't stop, I will improve.' That will be the theme of this season. If we didn't do enough, there are things we need to do to make that step. We've been very creative in our process to achieve that," Arteta stated.

Arsenal Celebrations

Arteta, who wasn't with the players at the training center to watch the match, was at home grilling. "I should have been with the players because they wanted it. But I couldn't, 20 minutes before the start, I had to go home. I couldn't bring the energy I wanted. It was their moment to be together, to watch and wait for the outcome. I went home, lit the fire, and started grilling. I didn't watch anything. I only heard the sounds from the living room when the magic happened," he explained.

"My oldest son opened the garden door, ran to me, started crying, hugged me, and said: 'We're champions, dad.' The other two sons and my wife came, and it was great to see them happy. They're always with me. It was magical. A minute later, Martin Edegor sent a video call: 'Where are you? Come on.' I told them to enjoy and we'll meet in London in a few hours," he added.

Meanwhile, tens of thousands of Arsenal fans gathered outside the club's stadium.

Arteta expressed that the chemistry the fans created around the team was even better than winning the trophy, using a "bottle" metaphor to describe it.
