Arda maintained their chances for the playoff position in the efbet Liga after a dominant 4-0 victory over Lokomotiv (Plovdiv). In the same matchday, Chernomorie suffered a heavy 0-5 defeat to Botew, further tightening the playoff race.

Antonio Vutov was the hero of the match, scoring a hat-trick by the 25th minute, and assisting Djelal Husseinov for the fourth goal after halftime. This victory places Arda, currently in seventh position, just three points behind Chernomorie, whom they will face in nine days. Chernomorie, currently in sixth place, will end their season with a city derby against "canarcho."

Chernomorie, however, still has another route to European qualification, which could come through a victory over CSKA in the Bulgarian Cup final on May 20th. To prepare for this crucial match, Dushan Kosich made a total of 10 changes to the starting lineup, giving a break to most of the regular starters, with only Julien Lami maintaining his place in the starting eleven.

This was the fourth meeting between the two teams in the last month, and Arda finally secured a victory after previously losing 0-4 to Lokomotiv (Plovdiv).
