Another owner has left Pirin Blagoevgrad. Adrian Yuriyev announced today that he is stepping down as the club's owner, just six months after taking over. He entered the club during one of the most difficult periods in its history, marked by serious organizational, financial, and sporting challenges. Yuriyev took on the responsibility not because it was easy, but because he believed Pirin deserved a chance.
Despite the many challenges, Yuriyev believed that with hard work, clear decisions, and support, the first step towards stabilization could be made. Together with the people around the club, he did everything possible to overcome the accumulated problems both within and around the team. Despite the difficulties, tension, and limitations, he managed to preserve Pirin, stabilize the processes, and most importantly, give the club a chance to move forward.
Yuriyev noted that a new selection was made in an extremely short time, the team was preserved during a difficult period, normal organization for training and competition processes was ensured, and talks were held with institutions, partners, sponsors, and people who could help the club's future. The team was saved.
"I hope the new owners will receive the support of society, business, institutions, and fans. The truth is that without unity around 'Pirin,' the club will continue to suffer. No owner alone can build a strong club without the backing of the city, community, and people who love the team. I wish the new owners success, wisdom, and strength to continue what was started. I leave with the clear conscience that I did everything in my power during an exceptionally difficult time," Yuriyev said in his statement to the people of Blagoevgrad.
This constant turnover of ownership is a serious problem for Pirin Blagoevgrad. How can a club find stability and success when new owners keep stepping in and out? It's time for the community and fans to come together and support a long-term plan. What do you think is the solution?
