NIBIRU announces a new addition to the ROCK DAYS lineup: Alexandra Căpitănescu, one of the strongest emerging voices in Romanian music, will perform at the festival scheduled for August 7-8 at NIBIRU Arena in Costinești. The artist represented Romania at Eurovision 2026 with the song “Choke Me,” finishing in third place, marking one of the country's best performances in recent years.

Alexandra Căpitănescu's presence completes ROCK DAYS' vision of uniting established names with the voices of the new generation, reflecting both the history and evolution of the local rock music scene. Known to the public following her win on season 11 of "The Voice of Romania," Alexandra brings fresh energy and a powerful stage presence to the festival, making rock more accessible to new generations.

ROCK DAYS brings together artists who have defined the genre's history, alongside relevant names of the new wave and contemporary directions of the local scene. The festival is built around the live energy that rock music brings, recognizable repertoire, and the direct connection between artists and the audience.

With a lineup spanning multiple stages of Romanian rock music, the festival brings together legendary names and artists defining the new wave. Confirmed artists include Phoenix, Iris, Vama, Vița de Vie, Zdob și Zdub, Bosquito, along with relevant current bands such as The Mono Jacks, Robin and The Backstabbers, byron, Jurjak, HVNDS, and Lupii lui Calancea. The lineup is completed by artists who span alternative and urban zones, such as Subcarpați, Killa Fonic, Irina Rimes, and The Motans, in a mix that reflects the evolution and diversity of Romanian rock.

Romanian Rock Culture: More Than a Musical Genre

Romanian rock has never been just a musical style but a cultural phenomenon that has influenced entire generations. Starting in the '60/70s, bands like Phoenix and Iris became symbols of freedom of expression in a socially restrictive context, transforming music into a form of resistance and identity.

Over time, rock has not only shaped the music scene but also the way artists in other genres construct their musical identity. Its influences are seen today in pop, hip-hop, or electronic music, whether through attitude, sound, or message. Contemporary projects like Subcarpați or urban artists integrate elements of rock's energy, authenticity, and storytelling.

In this context, ROCK DAYS is not just a festival but a celebration of a current that has united generations and continues to inspire, provoke, and evolve.

A Festival for a Broad Audience

ROCK DAYS marks a different direction within NIBIRU, designed as an accessible rock festival, both in positioning and price. Tickets start at 49 lei / day, with the aim of opening the live experience to as broad an audience as possible.

“We wanted ROCK DAYS to be a festival where you can come regardless of your age or how often you go to concerts. It's about music you know, about energy, and about that feeling where thousands of people sing together, from the first to the last song,” said Selly, the initiator of NIBIRU.
